Login System & Comments

I have now managed to construct a login system. If you wish to login or signup the links are at the top of the bar on the right. The link to logout will also appear here when you are logged in. When you are logged in you will be able to post comments for any post you wish. All users, even non logged in ones are able to view your comments.

Live AJAX Based Search

As you will be able to see from the box to the right I have now implemented a live search. The search works by querying the database as terms are being inputted, then, using a technology called AJAX, a list of results is quickly displayed. These results also link to the post which contains the search query.

FastCGI

FastCGI is now up and running so everything should go smoothly from now on. Thanks to James Maskell of Prime Hosting for his help in making sure everything works. I will now start to implement the rest of the website features.

Dynamic Content

Dynamic content has now been activated for the website, this means that all information is collected from a database and then processed and formatted by a technology called ruby on rails. It will take a little longer to finish implementing the system. But this feed is a start. The website may also be initially slow to load as I have to use CGI in order to process the pages as FastCGI is not working at the moment.

The Website

The website is undergoing a complete makeover now that it has moved to new servers. Eventually the content on the website will be dynamic but for now it is static and consists of what you see here. Check back soon as expansion will be more rapid as soon as the dynamic content starts to come together.
